Your MC Extraordinaire in action

I began emceeing events unprofessionally while in Kindergarten for the annual parent teachers day, then in primary & secondary schools at the annual concerts, sports day and other numerous events at school level. Then I was selected to participate in the AFS International Intercultural Student Exchange Programme to Avenal, California, USA and attended Avenal High School. As a young teenage ambassador I had to present speeches and spoke about Malaysia to schools, communities and organisations. I also acted as the MC of all AFS activities for international students showcases. While in University, I became more involved in emceeing events for International Students Associations and  International events held at Ohio University, in Athens, Ohio.

Upon graduation and returning to Malaysia, I was a part-time lecturer in Music and Choir at the then Mara Institute of Technology (now UiTM) in Shah Alam, Selangor before joining the nation’s premier private TV station-TV3. Apart from News Anchoring, I was a broadcast journalist, and also hosted live shows and emceed professionally for local, national and international events. And from there, I was also invited to MC events overseas for Malaysia.

It was a worthwhile experience in TV3 and also on a part-time basis in TV2 from 1983 until 2004 when I decided to fully concentrate my helming my business Dale Lokman Associates, a Public Relations & Event Management consultancy as owner & Managing Director. Till now I am still a professional Master of Ceremony for events in the nation and abroad and I do it with a lot of love, dedication and passion. In my free time, I do conduct classes on public speaking, emceeing, and hosting skills.
